The first thing you smell when you enter Mokkamaa is a warm, delightful and enchanting scent that immediately transports you to another world.

The scent is said to carry all the way to the corner of the block if the wind is right. The scent derives from all the freshly ground loose-bean coffee, chocolates and to some extent tea - especially on tea-packing days.

Depending a little on your preferences, the first thing that will probably catch your eye is either the confectionary shelf on the front right or the loose coffee shelf directly in front. Other chocolates surround you at the front of the shop, and the tea section can be found by walking past the coffee shelf and into the world of fragrances. After the tea section, a few stairs and around a bend is Mokkamaa's coffee lounge.

Our core values are valuing clean biodiversity and global equality between people. In our practical work, this is reflected in the fact that we sell and use a lot of organic products and there are many vegan options. Anyone who is interested can come to us, and we treat people equally as human beings, regardless of age, gender, ethnic background and other external factors. A warm welcome!

Coffee lounge

A persistent rumour has started to circulate in the villages about the Mokkamaa poacher. In a way that's true, the back room around the bend at the back of the store is used as a small, atmospheric coffee lounge.

You can enjoy any of the delicacies in the shop. Coffees and teas are made to order, with a piece or two of chocolate to accompany them, and we occasionally develop our own drink recipes to suit the season. However, we do not serve alcohol.

Students, people on a coffee break from work, Friday afternoon socials and anyone else who enjoys a good cup of coffee and tea are all welcome in our cabinet. The room is also ideal as a small acoustic music venue. There are approximately ten customer seats inside the café, four tables, and a tight-knit group of people can be seated at fifteen at a time.

The walls are a nice place to display artwork, and we have exhibitions by different artists and clubs every month. Reservations are made for one calendar month at a time. Exhibition space rent 30€/month will be charged upon booking. Contact preferably by e-mail.

We also rent the cabin to evening users outside opening hours for 50 € / 1,5h. The price includes a small cup of coffee or tea for everyone. In addition, of course, the normal shop services are available at all times. Whether you're a group of friends with a sweet tooth, an organisation planning a meeting in a cosy atmosphere or a work team celebrating Christmas, feel free to contact us and we'll discuss it further!
