According to legend, the tea plant was originally brought to the territory of present-day Georgia in 1847 by Prince Miha by smuggling from China. The leaves of this tea are collected from the offspring of these shrubs.
From the mountain water of the Caucasus Mountains, as well as from the rich soil, tea acquires its own taste, which is different from other types of tea. The taste has notes of honey melon and citrus, caramel-sweet.
